Description:

This role is based in the United Kingdom and as such all normal working days must be carried out in the United Kingdom. Join us as a Creative Designer

  • In this key role, you’ll work with another designer and the Mettle Marketing team to help shape the ever-expanding Mettle brand and make us visible to our future customers.
  • You’ll be working alongside the marketing, product and operation teams to create consistency across various touchpoints and to translate briefs into designs.
  • This fast paced and varied environment provides challenging work that has the potential to change the future of business banking and support the evolution of the Mettle brand.

What you'll do

As a Creative Designer, you’ll support the direction of all innovation projects within the design team working across the brand and driving the creative vision of numerous new and exciting products and services. With your expertise, you’ll be providing the creative execution of a portfolio of sponsored innovation projects, providing creative direction, problem solving and ensuring a consistent high standard of creative outputs from initial concept to first market launch.

Additionally, you’ll be:

  • Providing visual creative concepts and designs on a range of innovation projects, solutions and communications
  • Creating paid social media adverts for various social platforms
  • Anticipating and responding to changing customer demands and disruptive technologies
  • Collaborating with our creative designer to prioritise work and ensure the marketing team has visibility across the workstream in order to manage expectations and support in the most efficient way
  • Developing tools and processes by joining design huddles and getting an insight into what the product designers are up to in order to have clear consistency across the brand

The skills you'll need

To be successful in this role, you’ll have experience in design with expertise and fluency across human centred design methods and disciplines. We’ll expect you to have experience of leading highly creative work and managing multiple projects at once. And, you’ll also have excellent collaboration and communication skills.

Additionally, you’ll need:

  • At least 3-5 years experience in a design agency or in-house team
  • Experience in a fast paced, data driven environment
  • A demonstrable design and user research background with experience of developing customer facing digital applications and products
  • Creative problem solving skills and the ability to thrive in ambiguity based on customer insight and strategyA strong portfolio with a solid understanding of typography, colour, motion, design principles and overall brand thinking
