Description:

The incumbent is responsible for the identification, prioritization and delivery of CI initiatives for Material Planning, Production Planning & Scheduling and Network Planning processes for the PGS Plant Network. This includes identification and resolution of process or system inefficiencies, supply disruption and lack of network supply chain visibility for the targeted sites.

The PPP Deployment Lead is responsible for sustaining a continuous learning culture within PGS Plant Planning community whereby global above site and site planners share and leverage good practices and available technologies. 

The role will serve as the process technologist for the plant network, connected to planning operations at the T1 level and escalating the issues to the various Digital teams through the PPP Innovation Leads.

The PPP Deployment Lead will actively play a role in the Autonomous Planning Program by leading the Automatous Planning Workstream, which is a GSC imperative on the GSC Vision 2025 roadmap. 

The role will act as a change manager, responsible for deployment of standard work through the IMEx framework as well as accompanying metrics to measure plan quality and DP/API demand signal quality and improvement of standard work, processes and tools for planning, scheduling & MRP processes across the assigned sites.

The role will be a link between Digital / PPP Innovation Lead and site supply chain teams & production planning teams in relation to the introduction of new or modified system functionality. 

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Act as a link between planning operations and the Innovation team to champion CI initiatives that will improve planning processes and outcomes for assigned sites.
  • Facilitate and manage maturity assessments of planners (production planners, schedulers, material planners)
  • Manage project teams across sites and functional units to facilitate gathering and preparation of project scope and details required for successful project set-up and delivery.
  • Identify and codify which standard processes are required and the level of tailoring to site/network that is needed.
  • Provide input into process and toolset design and deploy the targeted site production planning processes improvement projects with above-site stakeholders. 
  • Support the PPP Innovation Leads in assessing the value and the priority for functionality and systems enhancements to facilitate necessary material planning, cross site planning and planning and scheduling process improvements/innovations within site and network supply systems
  • Provide ongoing business support to executed projects by monitoring execution and providing/supporting issue resolution activities.
  • Support and coordinate the usage of the Planning metrics for assigned sites, ensuring global guidance and governance is followed.
  • Partner closely with all PP&O Team members, Pfizer Digital, Site Supply Chain Teams. 
  • Deploy the new capabilities for the assigned sites. 
  • Work with the Supply Chain Excellence Leader to design, deploy, sustain and improve Integrated Manufacturing Excellence (IMEx) within the assigned sites and deliver the GSC Strategy/Roadmap as it relates to PP&O.
  • Lead the Autonomous Planning workstream to automate the consistent and accurate generation and maintenance of production plans.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • BS/BA in Operations management or industrial engineering field required.
  • Strong experience in Supply Chain / Materials Management, operations management or Commercial Operations in the pharmaceutical industry. 
  • Relevant operational experience across diverse business portfolio a plus (e.g., Biopharmaceuticals, Consumer Products, other industries).
  • Strong Supply Chain Planning skills, experience, and mastery of Pfizer Planning toolset (APO and ECC)
  • Proven experience in acting as a change manager for business process changes.
  • Demonstrated understanding of the pharmaceutical production planning, particularly plant operations, planning and scheduling. Broad understanding of the logistics and supply chain environment.
  • Ability to work in a complex matrix organization with strong teamwork orientation required and in an environment of competing priorities and deadlines.
  • Must have demonstrated consultative, influencing, analytical, strategic thinking/planning and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to interact, build effective relationships, and influence leaders at all levels of the organization is imperative.
  • Solid oral and written communication, and presentation, and project management skills are required. Excellent targeted messaging skills are a requirement.
  • Ability to manage and motivate a team of colleagues

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Master’s degree
  • Supply chain or project management certifications preferred. Project management experience a plus. (CPIM, CSCP, PMP, etc.).

NON-STANDARD WORK SCHEDULE, TRAVEL OR ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS

  • Travel will be expected, estimated 25-30% (post pandemic)
  • Will travel to regular visits to targeted sites (Plants, LC’s and markets) and center locations (NYO, Peapack, Collegeville, etc.)
  • Ability to communicate across regions, countries, cultures and time zones.
  • Might require periodic, “off hours” teleconferences.
