Description:

The UK Footprint Project team is expanding as we begin work to establish our new office in Leeds. As part of this, we are looking to recruit a policy manager. The successful applicant will manage aspects of the employee proposition workstream which covers issues such as recruitment, remuneration, benefits and culture. They will also play an important role in planning our internal communications to staff and managing lead policy analysts as direct reports.

This opportunity would suit someone who enjoys working flexibly across multiple issues. The role holder will work across a number of complex policy issues related to the employee proposition. The successful applicant will gain experience of taking work to the Bank’s Court (Board of Directors) and other senior committees. They will build relationships with a wide range stakeholders, and will need to represent the Bank and the Project both internally and externally. The successful applicant will be an excellent communicator, and be able to present complex information to a range of audiences, adapting their style and method of communications as appropriate.

This role can be worked from the Bank of England’s office in Threadneedle Street London or our central Leeds office.

This role is well suited to flexible working arrangements and can be adjusted to match the skills and working approach of the successful applicant. We are keen to support applications to fill the roles on a part time basis and to encourage more job sharing at senior levels. If you do not currently have a job share partner, then we will explore whether a job share is necessary and how to fill it independent of your application.
