We need a Technical Web Analytics Manager to help drive forward our approach to digital marketing analytics and targeting. Cancer Research UK is the world’s leading independent charity dedicated to cancer research. We carry out scientific research to help prevent, diagnose and treat cancer and we have discovered new ways to beat cancer that together have saved hundreds of thousands of lives across the world.
We have an exciting opportunity for you to join our marketing team as a Technical Web Analytics Manager. Through the design and implementation of online tracking, tagging and analytics infrastructure and solutions we need you to provide Cancer Research UK with accurate, actionable data to enable the improved monitoring, targeting and optimisation of our digital marketing.
What will I be doing?
Managing the delivery of cutting-edge analytics solutions across multiple online platforms to provide accurate, actionable data insights
Collaborating with stakeholders across the Marketing, Insights and and Technology teams to understand the changing needs of digital products and shape solutions
Translate marketing strategy into solutions that meet campaign objectives and enable delivery teams to analyse and optimise digital activity
Building cross-org knowledge of and respect for digital tracking, providing key theory needed to drive effective analytics solutions
Overseeing and managing the risk of damage to tracking solutions during website development and campaign implementation
Keeping up to date with external developments and sector news, sharing knowledge with relevant stakeholders internally.
Configure Data Studio reports for marketing and technology teams using Google Marketing Platform. Support individuals to understand and utilise relevant insights to drive improved marketing and web performance.
What skills are you looking for?
Experience working on large and complex digital analytics and tracking solutions
Significant working knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript/jQuery, DOM manipulation, Regular Expression (Regex)
Solid understanding of marketing pixels including wider strategy, implementation and data policy ( Google Marketing Platform, Google Analytics, Radium One, Facebook Standard Events, Visual DNA
An understanding of marketing data limitations and best practices eg. Attribution to be able to advise on correct reporting implementation and targeting
Significant experience implementing and using Google Analytics reporting features including filters, goals, custom reports, segments and E-commerce
Solid understanding of different digital marketing channel targeting methodologies and corresponding measurement tools to inform tracking solutions
Significant experience of providing solutions designed for use by non-technical end users
Excellent stakeholder management, communication and influencing skills.
