We’re looking for a claimant clinical negligence solicitor to join our Co-op Legal Services team.

In this role, you’ll provide outstanding customer care across a varied case load of pre-litigated and litigated cases, using your professional expertise to recover compensation for your clients. We’ll also look to you to keep up to date with insights and opportunities in the market to make sure we’re getting the most out of our business partner relationships. You won’t need to bring a following of clients with you as we use innovative technology to support your delivery, allowing you to focus on supporting our customers.
What you’ll do:
• line management responsibilities for a small team, developing them in an inclusive way
• work closely with our existing business partners through continued growth of the department, using market insights to advise on opportunities to improve
• assist in marketing activities, working closely with marketing, digital and the partnerships team
• prepare content for our website
• manage a caseload of clinical negligence cases end to end using a case management system to accurately record information
• provide advice to clients in relation to medical negligence via phone, email, and letter
• build positive relationships with internal and external parties
• manage workload effectively making sure that targets are met, and case progression is clear
This role would suit people who have:
• post-qualification experience as a claimant clinical negligence solicitor
• the ability to build positive relationships with a range of teams and partners
• a keen interest in business development with previous experience of building business partner relationships and seeking out opportunities for development
• the ability to use a case management system, and good general IT skills
• strong written and verbal communication skills
• high attention to detail with the ability to prioritise your work
