The Group Audit (GA) function is a professional, business focused, proactive risk-based global audit team that operates with transparency, integrity and independence, and assists the Bank’s business and infrastructure areas to identify key control weaknesses.

Group Audit (GA) is seeking a Principal Auditor to join its Foreign Exchange (FX), Rates and Global Electronic Trading team audit team to drive enhanced audit coverage of Global Electronic Trading risks and controls globally.  You will report directly to the Principal Audit Manager (PAM) – FX, Rates and Global Electronic Trading team.

Your key responsibilities:

  • Supports the PAM in planning, executing and reporting the results of internal audits of controls over Conduct and Supervision related risks and controls

  • Undertakes audit assignments, drafts audit findings / reports for review by audit management, facilitates tracking of findings and validates closure of findings; executes day-to-day operational audit work and contributes to the delivery of audits

  • Undertakes all aspects of audit fieldwork in line with the agreed audit approach including identification of key risks, documentation of process flows and key controls, testing controls and correctly documenting audit work

  • Partners with other audit teams globally to ensure comprehensive audit coverage

  • Proactively develops and maintains professional working relationships; communicates openly with management and internal stakeholders

Your skills and experience:

  • Knowledge and experience of Internal Audit, ideally gained from within Investment Banking (specifically within the Electronic Trading Space or FX, Equities and Rates asset classes and having worked on Electronic / Algorithmic Trading Audits)

  • Experience and understanding of the operational requirements and regulatory environment of a Global Bank

  • Excellent team working capabilities and an ability to build strong business and team relationships; Proven communication and presentation skills

  • Educated to Bachelor’s degree level or equivalent qualification/relevant work experience

  • Financial and numerical competence and an analytical mindset; the ability to demonstrate the meeting of client needs in a work environment; strong communication and presentation skills
