Summary

Frontiers is seeking a Head of Leadership & Development (L&D) candidate that will report to the Chief People Officer. The ideal candidate will bring experience in strategic delivery leading an in-house L&D team, who can effectively partner with the business and deliver measurable outcomes across the organisation. Candidate should have a proven record of leveraging Learning Experiences Design to deliver training that is engaging, easy to consume, and relevant. Prior management experience in leading a team and developing talent in a fast paced high growth organisation is needed. The L&D department currently consists of four team leads who are supporting a team of 21 trainers and learning specialists.  

Responsibilities 

  • Developing and implementing strategic plans for learning and development across the organisation resulting in demonstrable business impact.

  • Leading the in-house L&D team leads and their sub-team members to deliver high-quality training content and effective skills programs in a fast-paced environment. 

  • Reporting weekly and monthly to key stakeholders on progress and outcomes based on agreed training needs and seeking sign off from senior stakeholders on the content created before roll out. 

  • Establishing close relationships with senior managers, gathering regular feedback, working iteratively on deliverables  and presenting data insights to improve the impact of the L&D function, processes and performance. 

  • Collaborating with employee experience stakeholders to ensure L&D is a core benefit for employees, enhances our culture and cultivates our values. 

  • Develop, define, track and assess through metrics, the impact of training and implement suggestions for improvement.

  • Provide 1-1 guidance, coaching and professional development to the Leadership & Development team. 

Requirements 

  • Experience as a second-level manager, leading an international L&D Team

  • Strong analytical skills to deep dive into learning completion reports, and business metrics.

  • Experience working as a member of a team to collaborate with subject matter experts to design curriculum for in-person, online, and hybrid learning delivery methods.

  • Strong project management skills including planning work, managing details, keeping multiple tasks/projects on track, using time well, and delivering results.

  • Experience working in a cross-functional team.

  • In-person and remote communication / delivery / presentation experience.

  • Proven expertise in creating impact-focused relationships with senior leaders / internal stakeholders

  • Results and outcome-oriented. Data driven.

  • Experience working across cultures and with globally dispersed teams

  • Mastery of the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint and Excel).
