Description:

Are you our next Head of Projects – Maternity Cover (12-Month FTC)? We are seeking a highly qualified people Manager to lead our in-house team of Project Managers & Process Improvers within the Gymshark Creative Studio, with focus on driving excellence and managing key stakeholder expectations. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing multiple projects, leading a team, ensuring that objectives are met and projects are delivered on time to the highest standards.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

  • Leading the Projects team by providing clear direction, guidance, coaching and mentoring; ensuring all activities have a tangible impact on the results of your department.
  • Managing the annual strategy for the team; tracking and reviewing the FY24 team objectives and KPIs ensuring the wider team are all contributing towards these.
  • Overseeing the team to ensure all relevant teams across Gymshark are communicated to effectively, aligning on the status and timelines of Seasons, Projects & Processes.
  • Setting priorities and expectations for direct reports on a weekly and monthly basis.
  • Supporting career development through monthly 121s with direct reports, setting objectives, priorities, expectations, PDPs and fostering a performance culture.
  • Putting into practice, recommending, tracking and reviewing the FY24 team objectives and KPIs ensuring the wider team are all contributing towards these.
  • Leading monthly team meetings focusing on department objectives progress, learnings and KPIs.
  • Providing monthly updates to Director on previous month’s objectives progress, clearly communicating updates on team performance, process progress and highlights that hold significant importance to Gymshark.
  • Raising monthly POs for any freelance costs within the team.
  • Ensuring KPI tracker is always up to date, progressing towards department and team FY goals.
  • Signing off all Go To Market process improvement materials; including briefs/maps/comms/docs.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

Essential Criteria:

  • Experience in People Management.
  • Excellent coaching, leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong knowledge of project management methodologies, tools and techniques.
  • Excellent organisation & time management skills with attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical & problem solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively and adapt in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Positive, can do attitude to work.
  • Good knowledge of process improvements, change management or process mapping.
  • Ability to learn & adapt to new project management software.
  • Ability to identify and brief in any new process improvements required to hit business goals.
  • Strong decision maker.

WHAT YOU COULD ALSO HAVE:

  • Experience in Project/Programme Management and Process Improvements
  • Experience of training others / educating others on software/systems
  • Experience in working in a Creative Agency or in house Creative department
  • Excellent Marketing, Creative or Brand knowledge
  • Creative thinker with the ability to adapt, be agile and work to changing processes
  • Willing to challenge and be challenged
  • Willingness to give and receive effective feedback
  • Continuous improvement mindset
  • Resilient to change

This is a hybrid role and would require the successful candidate to attend at least 3 days a week in GSHQ, Solihull, UK.

This is a maternity cover, 12-month FTC.
