Collaborating closely with our Senior Designer and Head of Design, you'll have the unique opportunity to design, create, and develop Gymshark's cutting-edge offerings.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

• Designing and executing seasonal designs for Gymshark
• Both creation of the styles as well as maintaining the information of the evolution of those styles throughout the season
• Partnering with relevant Senior Designer and Design team to ensure that the creative direction is captured at a style level
• Ability to deliver against design direction on agile timelines
• Curating, maintaining, and approving lab dips for the seasonal colour palettes.
• Understanding of and motivated to explore and research athlete/fitness needs and the male/female form in order to communicate design and fit intent with your development partners
• Accurately creating and communicating industry standard design specifications to cross-functional teams.
• Understanding & researching key trends that align to Gymshark’s key consumers.
• Choosing fit-for-purpose materials and trims for commercial products
• Confidently presenting season designs to Gymshark senior leadership

WHAT YOU'LL BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR:

• Delivering designs, on time according to the critical path and in line with the creative direction
• Translating design concepts into physical product alongside your development partners
• Design with cost in mind. Driving to hit a seasonal margin target.
• Push yourself to learn new skills and apply them where appropriate to improve yours and the teams output
• Delegate projects/tasks to Junior Designers to help improve productivity and support overall team development

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

Essential Skills & Experience:

• Education in Design or Textiles (BA, BFA, BS)
• Strong proficiency in Adobe Illustrator
• Have an outstanding portfolio demonstrating a versatile handwriting with experience working on several types of apparel products
• Ability to identify and execute key apparel trends for the season
• Experience working in a design led environment and working with Product teams
• Strong ability to story tell creative ideas and designs
• Strong communication skills within a team and cross-functionally
• Able to present work to an audience of key stakeholders and senior management
• Attention to detail
• Willingness to challenge and be challenged

Preferred Skills & Experience:

• Experience in print and pattern making
• Experience in people management
• Experience in Excel and other Microsoft platforms
• Knowledge of 3D design software
• Willingness to give and receive effective feedback
• Leading change
• Lateral thinker

This is a hybrid role and would require the successful candidate to attend at least 3 days a week in GSHQ, Solihull, UK.
