Description:

This is an apprenticeship role.  You will be required to complete a Level 3 CIPD qualification and will be placed on a fixed term contract for the duration of your studies, with the possibility of a permanent role on successful completion of the course.

The focus of this role will be to support the delivery of people management operations, providing administrative support to the team and everyone within Kallidus across the globe.  You will be working as part of a small human resources team of four.

Our people are our foundation - you will hear this often at Kallidus.  This role will play an important role in helping the Kallidus People and Culture team drive change across the business.  You will get involved in various HR projects across the Kallidus group which will vary over time as priorities change, but are currently aimed at increasing engagement, providing a supportive and caring environment, recognising and rewarding employees, development planning and career pathways, reducing attrition and hiring costs.  In addition, ensuring that Kallidus is an attractive, supportive and inspirational employer to work for is a key theme for the People and Culture team.

This role includes interaction with employees in the UK, US, Canada, Bulgaria, India and Pakistan.  You will need to develop a deep understanding of our organisation, its market and its people.  This is an exciting opportunity for anyone who wishes to develop generalist HR skills.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

  • Preparation of monthly Town Hall slides.
  • Administering recognition programmes, including ordering and distribution of monthly and quarterly rewards.
  • Assist in the onboarding and inductions for new employees.
  • Add and remove new starters/leavers to/from different systems and benefits portals.
  • Assist in the maintenance of job description/job adverts library and audit log.
  • Assist in the creation and maintenance of policy documents including version control.
  • Assist in the vetting of new starters and ensuring right to work docs are up to date.
  • Administration of internal development programmes and cohorts and booking/scheduling of dates, candidates and venues.
  • Opportunity to work with the ED&I team (Equal Voices) on different projects and initiatives.
  • Opportunity to help out with different projects and initiatives with the Wellbeing Committee.
  • Assist with the development and coordination of interview champions.
  • Help the team with organising careers days at local colleagues/universities.
  • Helping out the People team as and when needed.

Key Skills, Knowledge and Behaviours:  

  • Keen to learn, highly motivated with a flexible attitude. Comfortable with working at a fast pace.
  • Good level of self-awareness, sound judgement, integrity, and approachability.
  • Good knowledge of and comfortable with technology, such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams and Outlook. Experience of working with data would be useful.
  • Comfortable with technology generally is important as we are a software company and use all our own products.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to communicate professionally at all levels.
  • Ability to work as part of a team, taking and offering support where required.
