We're recruiting for a forward-thinking IT Procurement Manager who will be accountable for the delivery of procurement excellence whilst being responsive to customers’ needs and evolving demands. By executing the IT sourcing strategy, you will support the Kingfisher Group’s IT Strategy and outlined objectives.

Reporting into the Head of Commercial and Vendor Management for IT you will be tasked with end to end IT Procurement management, analysis & reporting, and vendor management. Working within the IT Procurement team you will be procuring across Software, Hardware, Services and Telecoms with an in-scope spend of £30+ million.

The key responsibilities for the role are broken down into three categories, IT Procurement Management, Analysis and Reporting and Vendor Management. The responsibilities for these are listed below:

IT Procurement Management:

  • IT Procurement within the following categories, Software, Hardware, Services and Telecoms - Development and implementation of the yearly procurement plan ensuring alignment and consistency with the IT Sourcing strategy
  • Lead evaluation and decision process for supplier selection in accordance with Kingfisher IT policies and procedures
  • Ensure Group scale is leveraged for Procurements through close communication with wider Commercial team and IT stakeholders.
  • Identify cost reduction opportunities. Coordinate, plan & execute benchmarks
  • Analysis and monitoring of IT sourcing and commercial trends.
  • Ensure that all procurement requests are properly authorised, and the appropriate due diligence and approvals are carried out prior to contract signature.
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders to ensure that demand is effectively understood, IT procurement plans are bought into and stakeholders have the procurement information they need to support effective decision making.
  • Framework Agreements in place and up to date with designated hardware, software, and services suppliers

Analysis and reporting

  • Analyse and consolidate the third party spend and contract data available from various sources and systems
  • Agree the management information required to support procurement objectives and put in place sustainable mechanisms / processes to deliver accurate reporting

Vendor Management:

  • Management of nominated vendors in accordance with the Kingfisher IT Vendor Relationship Management (“VRM”) governance process
  • Ensure commercial and contract performance.
  • Work with Service / Project Managers to resolve issues and manage escalations

What experience you’ll bring:

  • Experienced IT Procurement professional with experience in procuring software and Software as a Service
  • Experience working in a large blue-chip environment preferred - Having a track record of delivering significant benefits to make change happen through professional procurement
  • Experience working and negotiating with international suppliers - Managing a range of procurement contracts and projects from below £100k to upwards of £2mil in value
  • Experienced in vendor management and getting the most out of current contracts

Skills required:

  • Influencing and negotiating skills in order to make positive change happen
  • Must be comfortable operating in a fast changing and ambiguous environment
  • Strong stakeholder management with the ability to build long lasting relationships with internal colleagues and external suppliers
  • Comfortable to challenge existing ways of working in a positive way
  • Numerate, analytical with a good level of excel skills
  • Able to extract data and reporting from company ERP and contract management systems

This person will be UK based with our Head Office in Paddington, or we could explore the option of being based in one of our other retail banners head offices in Southampton or Yeovil.
