Description:

Do you want to work for a large, employee-owned, purpose-driven organisation who seeks to improve society by considering social outcomes, and to transform businesses, communities, and opportunities for its employees? Mott MacDonald is a global consultancy whose people do exactly that. From engineering large infrastructure projects and driving programme management; to social outcomes advisory services, designing for nature restoration and developing green energy solutions. Our specialists bring diverse skills, experiences, and insights, to turn obstacles into sustainable solutions.

To support business growth and brand ambitions, we are expanding our regional marketing team and seeking a skilled marketing executive with broad marketing capability and notable experience managing events and awards.

Key elements of the role and reporting lines:

We are looking for an experienced marketing professional who can help drive and support some of the region’s most important awards and events, as well as providing broad support across other marketing outreach, from marketing campaigns and corporate content to project management and marketing reporting. The position is within the newly forming regional marketing team for Europe, reporting directly to the regional Marketing & Communications Manager and indirectly to the Group Events Lead.

You will be responsible for:

  • Helping to shape and deliver some of the region’s most important events, including a mix of external exhibitions and our own client events, both physical and digital
  • Supporting the process to measure the impact and ROI of event investment
  • Collaborating with the business units to provide light-touch support and guidance on concepts and approaches for Unit-led events
  • Collaborate closely with the Group Events team to support the development and use of event guidance, toolkits and standardised assets to enable high quality efficient delivery
  • Managing the process around our headline award entries and tables and resulting communications
  • Maintaining a schedule of events and awards to ensure visibility across the business
  • Involvement in a diverse range of other marketing activity, such as: organising video shoots, supporting campaigns, producing corporate content, assisting with marketing analytics and reporting, and the development of collateral
  • Ensuring that all marketing outputs are high-impact, audience-centric and reflective of our brand

Candidate Specification

  • You should have a marketing or related degree and substantial experience in a B2B marketing environment, ideally within a technical or consulting organisation
  • You should have a demonstrable track record of successfully running a variety of events, both physical and virtual, large and small
  • You should ideally bring broad marketing know-how through experience in a general marketing role, preferably within a large company
  • You should be willing to travel to attend some top tier events
  • You should be exceptionally well-organised and adept in managing all the moving parts involved with any event or marketing project
  • You should be digitally adept, confident in using digital tools and running high-impact webinars and live stream sessions
  • You should be a team player and a proactive confident communicator and collaborator who has built productive relationships across an organisation
  • You should be driven, collaborative and composed, someone who proactively takes ownership and can progress multiple projects with competing deadlines
