Description:

Nesta’s growing Arts & Culture Finance (“ACF”) team is looking for a part-time marketing manager to promote its work to the arts, culture and heritage sectors and help develop its pipeline of investment enquiries.

The Marketing Manager will join a fast-paced, close-knit team in the UK’s leading innovation foundation and have an instrumental role in ensuring the deployment of its capital. A joint approach within this small team will be crucial.

About Arts & Culture Finance

The ACF team sits within Nesta’s Impact Investments directorate and works towards building a more financially resilient arts & cultural sector in the UK using the tools of repayable finance. We believe that resilient organisations are in a stronger position to take creative risks, innovate and thrive in an increasingly competitive operating environment.

The ACF team currently manages the following impact investment funds:

  • The Arts Impact Fund (“AIF”) - A £7m pilot initiative supported by Bank of America Merrill Lynch, Arts Council England, the Esmée Fairbairn Foundation and Nesta. This fund is now closed for new investment applications.
  • The Cultural Impact Development Fund (“CIDF”) - £3.7m supported by Access - The Foundation for social investment with funding from Big Society Capital and the National Lottery Communities Fund. This fund provides unsecured loans of £25k-£150k and support around social impact monitoring & evaluation. This fund is now closed for new investment applications.
  • The Arts & Culture Impact Fund (“ACIF”) - The successor to the AIF, this £23m fund is backed by all of the AIF’s existing investors, in addition to Big Society Capital, the National Lottery Heritage Fund and Freelands Foundation. This fund provides secured & unsecured loans of £150k-£1m.
