A Cloud Data Engineer who takes pride in building robust data pipelines, using tools aligned with infrastructure-as-code methodology, and with a keen interest in database design.
We’re looking to mature our data platform, so we would benefit from experience in implementing quality controls and deploying ML models in production.
We’re operating in AWS and want someone who is already familiar with the platform. Our Data Lake is up and running and internal data is being used regularly across the business for reporting.
The next phase is to mature the platform and set up additional data modules that will be the foundation for our business objectives next year. So this is a great time to join the team and an excellent opportunity for someone who likes to make an impact!
What you’ll do:
Work alongside 2 existing data engineers to mature our big data architecture. This will involve implementing data pipelines using DataBricks and data checks using Soda and Datadog.
You’ll develop a deep understanding of the data we capture - understanding all of our source data and its idiosyncrasies.
Work collaboratively with our analyst team to understand business needs and find scalable solutions to new requirements. Investigating issues and providing support so that the data reported is accurate and complete.
