As a PMO Manager you will be responsible for managing the PMO range of activity to enable the effective and timely delivery of projects within the workstreams, including scoping and prioritisation, planning, provision/reallocation of resource; stakeholder management; inter-dependency analysis; problem solving and solution finding.

It will support the Workstream Leaders/SMEs and PMO Senior Managers in ensuring that each project and Workstream is delivering against plan and the overall mandate.

This role will contribute to identification and management of risks and issues especially at programme level and drive relevant resolution actions.

• Supporting the bank in meeting its business, legal, regulatory and stakeholder obligations in respect of Financial Crime Compliance. Including identifying, deterring, detecting, and disrupting money laundering, sanctions non-compliance, terrorist financing, bribery, corruption, and tax evasion risks that arise by way of its activities.
• Demonstrating knowledge and understanding of the financial services industry and its regulatory environment.
• Using project management office experience and knowledge to manage the timely delivery of projects across the business areas within the workstreams, with accurate reporting on status, scope and budget, and dependency management
• Building and maintaining effective internal and external partnerships, stakeholder relationships up to departmental head level, to enhance 2-way communications and support the development of projects.
• Contributing to the accurate completion of day-to-day governance activities (ORAs, update of logs and documentation) to ensure risks are effectively managed and escalated as appropriate.

What you’ll bring.

• Strong programme / project management and solution delivery skills in various methodologies (waterfall, Agile, etc.).
• Extensive experience in PMO management role, supported by business and management experience ideally within a financial services background

It would also be nice for you to have.

• Consumer Duty regulatory knowledge
• Experience of managing Regulatory PMO’s
• Ability to develop solutions to operational and processing problems and make recommendations to senior management.
• PRINCE 2 practitioner or external PMO certification.

What else you need to know.

This role is currently Home based with 1-2 days per week office travel to one of our offices across the UK.          

This is a 12-month secondment/fixed term contract position which has the potential to be extended or made permanent.
