Toptal is looking for a Social Media Strategist to join our Communications team. Reporting to our Social Media Director, this person will help to build social media strategies to ensure we are maximizing organic engagement for Toptal’s content across all of our social media channels while growing and maintaining our core audience.
Responsibilities include developing social media strategies for internally produced content across our key properties that drive Toptal’s mission to become the greatest talent company in the world. In this role you will be expected to proactively engage with other functions within the business to advise on content formats and themes, along with overall best practices for social media in order to maximize organic engagement for all published content. You will create and own measurement frameworks to monitor our content and share the learnings with the wider team in order to optimize creative output. You will work in partnership with the Director of Social Media on the creation and implementation of our Social Media playbook to ensure the organization is brought up to speed and kept aware of Toptal’s positioning and approach to our own social channels. You will also work in partnership with the Community Manager to advise on audience engagement on our channels and seek opportunities for collaboration with influential thinkers within the talent and staffing space.
The person in this role is expected to have in-depth knowledge of existing social media best practices across both paid and organic as well as a strong grasp on emerging platforms, with an opportunistic eye for Toptal to engage our audience in new and novel ways through social media. Ideal candidates will have multiple years of experience working in social media on behalf of a brand.
In this role, you will create engaging social media strategies for Toptal’s content for our key properties to drive optimal organic reach. You will ensure the content is representative of a best-in-class brand to each of its unique audiences, including current and potential clients and freelance talent. This person will work cross-functionally with team members within our Creative, Communications, Publications, Community, Paid Media and Growth teams to grow pipelines of photos, graphics, videos, carousels, stories, polls, threads, and other content formats designed to engage with each of our audiences.
