The award-winning VICE News team develops and produces news content across VICE platforms and partner platforms. The digital news team focuses on short form storytelling and unique and creative ways to relay global news. This is a collaborative team that works together to make everyone’s projects better. Role x You

Vice World News is looking for a talented Producer to pitch, script and shoot our daily Snapchat news show. You’ll be working with the Supervising Producer to help craft the rundown, drawing on the best reporting from our TV, editorial and social teams around the world. You are a strong writer who has a deep understanding of the VICE voice and the stories that resonate on Snapchat. Sourcing the best visual material and graphics, you know how to bring the edit to life. You thrive under pressure and have experience working with correspondents in the field. You have excellent news judgement and know how to provide a unique take in a crowded current affairs landscape.

Qualifications

You have these:

• Minimum 3 years producing experience, carrying a pitch from scripting and shooting through to edit and delivery

• Experience producing shows for vertical video, including Snapchat

• Excellent writing skills and a deep understanding of the VICE voice

• Experience collaborating with correspondents in the field

• Ability to work under pressure and deliver on deadline

• Experience guiding edits, sourcing the best archival material and commissioning graphics

• Ability to multitask, overseeing many moving parts, assignments, and deliverables at once

• Ability to maintain the highest journalistic standards with an emphasis on accuracy and responsible editorial practices 

• Collaborative team player with a positive attitude

• Ability to edit on Adobe Premiere Pro
