Personal Banking

It’s our responsibility to manage the execution of the day-to-day product management lifecycle ensuring the Personal Banking products, which include Insurance, Current Accounts & Savings, are fit for purpose and provide customers with the right products, at the right price, at the right time.  All this needs to be done whilst delivering on our commercial objectives and ensuring the fundamental governance requirements of day-to-day product and supplier management are applied. This role is focused on our Insurance products where we offer stand-alone Travel, Home and Life Insurance to our customers.

We’ll ask you to…

  • Engage with stakeholders across the business and external 3rd parties to optimise outcomes for our Personal Banking propositions.
  • Build excellent working relationships with stakeholders to deliver an excellent customer experience for our customers.
  • Provide SME support to Product Managers and key stakeholders in delivering strategic projects and product specific activities.
  • Providing insight on performance, and wider market to stakeholders and tell our Personal Banking story across the business.
  • Support in the successful management of new product development and product launch activity as well as changes to the existing product portfolio.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements regarding delivery of customer outcomes, treating customers fairly and the associated VM policies and control standards, including but not limited to, compliance with the requirements of Product Governance, Pricing and Supplier Management frameworks.
  • Drive continuous improvement of processes, resulting in an improved customer experience and operating efficiencies.
  • Support timely and efficient implementation of agreed product and pricing changes.
  • Provide product sign-off of literature and collateral, as required.
  • Identify the requirements and ensure the delivery of customer and market insight and MI to support day-to-day product management activities.
  • Undertake the Role in full accordance with the VM philosophy of ‘Making you happier about money’.

We’d love you to have…(but not essential)

  • Product Knowledge – An understanding of the Insurance or Personal Banking products we offer to customers and how they compare across the UK Market.
  • Customer Process Experience – an awareness of how our customers can both acquire and service their Personal Banking products.
  • Change Management – An understanding the processes of successful change projects and an idea of Agile Project delivery methodology.
  • UK Regulatory Framework – An understanding of the UK Regulatory System (ICOBS, BCOBS, PSR, ISA Regs, Consumer Duty).
  • Third Party Relationship Management – Some experience of working with partners (particularly insurance providers)  on delivering key activities.
